Auxin is a hormone found in plants that is crucial to their growth and development. Cell division, cell growth, and cell differentiation are all regulated by it. Additionally, auxin affects the development of roots and shoots and aids in regulating the plant's growth direction. The movement of auxin from high concentration to low concentration occurs in the apical regions of shoots and roots. Additionally, it aids in the development of ad hoc roots and fruits as well as the regulation of leaf motion. Additionally, auxin contributes to the development of lateral buds, leaves, and flowers. Auxin has also been discovered to have a role in the regulation of plant stress responses as well as the regulation of nutrient absorption and transport. The reaction of plants to light and gravity, known as phototropism and geotropism, respectively, is also influenced by auxin. Auxin is required for proper growth and development in plants as well as for healthy growth and development.
