Synthetic Biology is a rapidly growing field of scientific research and engineering, which combines the principles of engineering and biology to design and construct new biological systems and pathways. Synthetic Biology is used to design and build novel biological systems, such as DNA, protein, enzymes and cells, and to engineer existing biological systems to produce desired products or functions. By designing and constructing new biological systems, Synthetic Biology has the potential to revolutionize fields such as healthcare, agriculture, energy production, environmental protection and manufacturing. The goal of Synthetic Biology is to design and construct biological systems that can perform specific tasks, such as producing specific drugs, biofuels and other bioproducts. By engineering biological systems, synthetic biologists can also alter existing biological systems to improve their efficiency and performance. Synthetic Biology holds great potential for solving many of the world’s most pressing problems, and is an exciting and rapidly growing field of research.
